The club "Schiffenberg" in Giessen   ( DOK F64 )

The club "Schiffenberg" is one of three local amateur-radio-clubs of the DARC in Giessen (JO40IO). The name "Schiffenberg" comes from a little hill nearby Giessen. This hill and the surrounding terrain is a recreation area and very popular with the citizens of Giessen and the surrounding villages. You can find here also the ruins of a monastery from the middle-ages and a restaurant. In the summertime serveral concerts take place on the "Schiffenberg". The club "Schiffenberg" was founded some years ago and at the present time we have more then 30 members.

You may contact the club during the fieldday-activities on the so named "Grüninger Warte" working under the callsigns DF0SG or DQ1F on all bands or DB0BD on VHF only.

If you reside in the Giessen district and you are interested in amateur-radio then come to our monthly meeting (adress right below) or contact Mr. Holger Adelsberger, DL1EZ for further informations about our club.
